What if I am unsure as to what size to buy as my child sizes in-between the measurements on the size chart?

We would advise buying the bigger size. Children grow quickly, so having a little growing room is a good thing. We have a very extensive size chart which may help you make your decision.

I am not sure what colour he would like, am I able to purchase a gift card so that he can decide for himself later?

Absolutely, we offer 4 different value Gift cards that can be purchased, £25, £50, £75 & £100.

How do I use the Tri Suit sizing chart?

There is a video on the custom Kit size chart page that may help. Take a few measurements, then compare these measurements to the size chart. If you find that your measurements are at the top of the size range then opt for the next size up. Fit is a personal preference, some like a very snug fit, while others prefer more room. With children it is always best to buy a little big to allow for growth.

What do I wear under my Tri suit?

Ideally you wear as little as possible. Think of it as a swimsuit with legs and a little cushioning for the bike. Girls might prefer to wear a sports bra. Just remember, the more you wear the heavier it will be when wet and the more uncomfortable. You may even find that wet undergarments cause chafing.

Can I use my Tri suit in the pool?

Chlorine and any fabric are not a great combination. We would advise against using your tri suit in a pool, but we know this is sometimes unavoidable. We highly recommend removing your tri suit immediately after a pool swim rinsing it thoroughly inside & out with warm water. Try and leave it to dry naturally, keep it away from direct heat like radiators & tumble dryers.

My Trisuit feels too small. Will it loosen?

A Trisuit should fit fairly tightly, you don’t want it having the same effect as drag shorts in the water. When swimming it will slightly expand, increasing in flexibility.

I bought my Tri suit from another retailer, can I return it to you under warranty?

We are more than happy to help in any way we can. As you actually bought the tri suit from another store the sale of contract & warranty is with that store directly and not ourselves. You will need to contact the store directly with all your order details & they will organise everything for you.

Can I trade my Tri Suit in?

Unfortunately, we don't offer a trade-in service. The only exception is the junior Team upgrade. Children grow quickly. At Dolphin Kick we are aware of this. We offer an upgrade to the next size of the Team Tri Suits for £39.99. RRP £45. Please contact us here for further information.

Can I have names and logos printed on my tri clothing?

We don't do any printing in house, but we can recommend you contacting DS Screen Prints or Premier Logo . They should be able to help you.

What is the difference between a wetsuit and a tri suit?

A wetsuit is worn in cooler water conditions usually in an outdoor swim. It is then removed in a triathlon before the bike phase of the race. A tri suit is usually constructed of waterproof swimsuit like fabric and is worn underneath the wetsuit. This is worn for the duration of the race. Most tri suits have short legs and a small cycling pad for comfort.

When do I put my race belt on?

Your race belt is worn for the bike and run phase of a triathlon. It is usually left in the transition area with your bike and the rest of your race equipment. It is clipped around your trisuit once you have removed your wetsuit and carries your race number, twisted to the back for visibility on the bike and then rotated around to the front for the run.
