Woom’s range of lightweight children’s bikes are becoming increasingly popular in the U.K. The range extends from a 12” balance bike to some of the lightest kids’ off-road bikes you can buy.  In fact, Woom claim that, as a complete range of bikes, they offer the lightest range of children’s bicycles in the world. In terms of weight, they certainly stand up well against some of the better-known kids’ bikes in the U.K.

The smaller bikes in the range (the 14” wheel woom 2 and 16” wheel woom 3) offer a low centre of gravity, a very upright riding position and wide handlebars.  All of this makes them much easier to ride as a first pedal bike.

The larger bikes (20”, 24” 26” wheels and off-road bikes) offer high quality lightweight frames, Woom’s own high-quality wheels and, again, a slightly more upright riding position than some other bikes for children.

As a children’s bike specialist, Woom are obsessive about making kids’ cycling better.  Their large product development team are constantly thinking about how they can tweak things to help kids have more fun cycling.

The attention to detail, like colour coded brake levers (see picture below) on the smaller bikes for added safety and adjustable stems on the bigger bikes to make for better fit and room for growth, is what sets Woom apart. They also offer an impressive range of accessories and, increasingly, clothing.

Woom Bikes are currently sold exclusively in the U.K. by The Little Bike Company (see the range here https://www.thelittlebikecompany.co.uk/product-category/bike-brand/woom-bikes/).

Plans for 2020 include off-road bikes with suspension forks, an electric kids’ mountain bike a Woom U.K. website from which to buy the bikes and distribution into other retailers across the country.

If you want to make any cycling experience last, why not equip them with a pair of cycling shorts. Dolphin Kick’s all black cycle shorts with an Italian Dolomiti® pad are incredibly popular and are available in ages 8-14 years.
